Morgan dropped the PADD on the table in front of her. She leaned back in her seat and let out a loud sigh. “We can spend the next three months examining these readings.” She brought her hands to her eyes and rubbed them gently. “And even then we still might not come up with anything.”

Petty Officer Cole looked across the table at Morgan. She nodded to herself as she listened to what the Lieutenant had to say. “What if we brought the array aboard…?”

Morgan opened her eyes. She sat up in her seat looking over at the Petty Officer. “Hmm...we can get a closer look at what we are dealing with…”

Petty Officer nodded in agreement. “Yes. The array is small enough to fit inside the cargo area.”

Morgan nodded. “Yes….” She paused for a moment as if debating the decision then nodded to herself once more. “Yes, let’s do it.” She smiled at Cole.

Cole returned the smile. “We’d have to re-route any traffic that normally passes through this array to another one…” She pressed a few buttons on the PADD in front of her. “But that shouldn’t be an issue.”

Cole looked over at Crewman Jones who had a concerned look on his face. He wasn’t sure about this plan. “Don’t worry Jones.” She smiled at him. “Go to the front and make the necessary preparations.”

Jones nodded then headed to the front.

Cole looked back at Morgan. Morgan looked like she had that same concerned look on her face now as well. “Not you too ma’am!” She smiled. “Don’t worry, it will be fine.”

Morgan laughed. “I feel that you and I just might have reversed roles.I should be the one reassuring you not the other way around.”

“Next time!” Cole replied. Both of them laughed.

Jones stepped onto the front section of the runabout. Charles looked back from his seat. Jones smiled at him as he approached his seat. “You are going to love this one…?”

“I have a feeling I am not going to like this.” Charles stated. He knew that he wasn’t going to like it. He had worked long enough with both Jones and Petty Officer Cole to know that sometimes things tend to get out of hand and that this might be one of those situations.

“Oh, I think you will.” Jones replied as he took a seat next to Charles. He began working on re-routing the communication traffic from the array. “We are going to bring the array aboard.” Jones stated without looking at Charles but a grin lit up his face.

Charles was speechless for a moment. Ensign Lawson overhead the comment. She turned around in her seat looking back at the two crewmen. “We are going to do what…?” She asked.

Jones turned his head around to look at Talia. “We are going to bring the array aboard ma’am. Lieutenant Faye would like to take a look inside.”

“Well, it makes sense.” Charles stated.

“It does?” Both Jones and Ensign Lawson asked at the same time. They were surprised that Charles would agree with this course of action. He was always the more cautious type.

Charles nodded. “Yes it does.” He looked over at Ensign Lawson. “Think about it ma’am. We are unable to scan just how far whatever it is triggering those power builds up is integrated in the array. We can’t get a lock on it with our transporters and even if we were we might end up doing more damage to the array by simply beaming it out of there. So the next logical step is to take a look inside it.” Charles explained.

Jones nodded in agreement.

Ensign Lawson looked at both Charles and Jones. “Well, when you put it that way I suppose you are right….” She sighed turning back to her console. “But I still don’t like it.”

“Neither do I, ma’am. Neither do I.” Charles stated as he turned his attention back to his station.”So, we have to move the traffic off that array first….”

Jones nodded. “Already on it. We should be ready in matter of minutes.”

Charles stood up. “Alright, I will go start getting the cargo hold ready.”

“I will be there in minutes.” Jones stated.

Charles stood up from his seat and headed to the back to start preparing the cargo hold.
