Possessions and Impressions

Mission: New Frontier
Location: Shuttlebay
Timeline: Following Cleh's arrival

Lizzy entered into the shuttlebay 2, looking for her shuttle. She had forgotten one of her PaDDs, sitting in the co-pilot's seat that had the information she'd been keeping track of. As she looked around, she couldn't see her shuttle, so she tapped on the shoulder of the first person she found, who happened to be a Bolian.

Stood for a moment and looking across a operational and active shuttlebay. As a group for logistics stowed yet another batch of tools and a second pair showing a thumbs up, indicating the fuel storage tank was safe and fit for use, the bolian sighed a contented one rather than one of frustration.

Spinning round following the tap on the shoulder, he offered a friendly if slight cheeky grin at the woman to whom the hand belonged. "Yes, ma'am how can I help you? " Vilgi opened with what he had found over the years to be the safe option.

Dark brown hair, and pretty, if not slightly annoyed light blue eyes looked back at Vilgi. The first things of note were the rank pips of a Captain, and the 21st century firearm, which sat in a holster attached to her belt, something that was rare to see on the hip of someone wearing a Starfleet uniform.

Lizzy studied him for a moment. Growing up on the colony, she had dealt with the handful of Bolians who had taken up residence there, but she hadn't seen them in years. She noted his rank insignia as she regarded him. "Sorry to bother you, Lieutenant Commander, but I'm looking for the shuttle I arrived in this morning." She explained. "I explained to one of the men here earlier that it doesn't belong to Starfleet, and to take care of it for me, but I have no idea where it was moved to."

"More than likely it would have been parked up. Let me have a check over the records." Was Vilgis response, as he reached for a PaDD in his thigh pocket. She appeared and acted like a starfleet command level officer, aside from the nonstandard weapon on her belt. "What time did you get in, roughly? Captain........" He asked, for two reasons, to help in locating the specific craft also a name was always nice.

"Captain Jey Cleh." She said quickly. "I arrived this morning around 1100 hours."

The input of the time narrowed down the search list considerably, to the point he quickly identified the craft in question. "Yep, found it along with a note to take extra care. It's been moved to the hanger, parked in spot Echo-Two." Dropping an arm to his side while still clutching the data device. "I can have it brought back up? or take up to it?"

"No need to bring it back up." Lizzy replied. "Just take me to it, so I know where to find it later."

"Makes sense, follow me." Vilgi gestured towards partitioned area. "Are you with the CoE detachment or JAG or another specialist department I haven't come across yet? If you don't mind me asking?"

"I'm the Medical Systems Specialist for the station." Lizzy said as they started walking. She was paying more attention to where they were going than the conversation. "It's part of the Corps of Engineers division."

"Ah so part doctor, part technician. Very nice." Vilgi responded to the officer, glancing across, she seemed a little distracted or preoccupied. "Well I'm the Logistics and Materials man, background in flight ops, so if you need anything bringing in or moving out. Give me a shout and I will make it happen."

"I'll do that." Lizzy replied as they turned a corner. "I'm more of a doctor, than anything else."

"Well that's a good thing, I suspect those medical skills will be in demand. Considering where we are and our mission brief and the Boss Lady isn't the type to sit around nice and safe waiting for this to happen." Vilgi commented as they went. "That's yours I hope?" He said suddenly as they arrived at the correct parking spot.

"Yeah this is it." Lizzy replied. She entered her personal lock code to open the hatch. She stepped in, moving to pick up the PaDD she'd left on the co-pilot's seat. She was relieved to see that the display was blank as she stepped back out of the shuttle, and closed the hatch. "Maybe I should keep better track of this." She said, giving Vilgi a smile.

"Probably yes. On that point I can have your shuttle permanently assigned to this bay and this spot if you would prefer." Vilgi offered as opening to his next request. "I'd also like to assign a pair of technicians to give it the once over. Now i know it may not be one of starfleets, but it's in our bays now and when a craft leaves our bays I like to be sure that it's capable of reaching its destination. Now I can do that myself or have a pair that transfered with me, they're very good and not overly nosey. If your concerned about personal items being disturbed." His offer was out of wanting to make sure her craft was in working order, years of flight ops made this an ingrained habit, also something about the Captains demeanor bothered him a little and he wanted to see her reaction

"All my personal items are in my quarters." She told him, as she stashed her PaDD in a pocket. "Keep it here, and give it a once-over yourself. Just don't mess with the computer. It's voice encrypted, and only I know the activation code."

Vilgi groaned internally which manifested as a slight sigh, he hoped this was not going to lead them down the path of secret offers and differing starfleet branches with hidden agendas, that was a path he didnt want to go down again, or it might just be a a particularly jumpy officer with privacy issues. For now she would have the benefit of the doubt with a chuckle he agreed. "I hadn't intended to, aside from the diagnostic programs which are on separate subroutines. But I promise I won't read your diary or personal logs ma'am and I will take good care of this little lady. A word of advice comments like that tend to make people nervy, they imply either you think there nosey or that you have something to hide."

"I expect everyone to be nosey." She told him without missing a beat. "It would be on par with what I'm used to. Anyway, thanks for the help. I'll leave you to your work." With that, she headed back the way they came. She wanted to get herself as far away from anymore questions as possible.

"Aye sir." Vilgi responded softly watching her back as she walked away. Puzzled to say the least, still undecided if Cleh was a picky officer or a paranoid one, either were not good traits and spelt trouble.
