Mission: Let the Games Begin
Location: Main Promenade
Timeline: Current

Andrew stepped off the pad in Transporter Room 42 and headed out to the Main Promenade. It had been three weeks since he had gotten his transfer approved, and he had needed to travel on five separate vessels to reach Starbase 80. It was only in the last few days that he had been able to get schematics of the starbase and information about his new posting. He came out of the transporter room and attempted to get his bearings.

After a few moments of looking around and failing to dredge up the relevant information from his memory, he grumbled and pulled a PADD out of his diplomatic attache case. It took him another moment to realize that he was some three hundred levels from his new office. He then checked his chrono and saw that he was a couple hours ahead of his scheduled arrival and his meeting with Lieutenant Commander O'Donnell, the commodore's personal assistant.

Andrew realized that he had a bit of a walk ahead of him and an urge to have a cup of tea. He let out a slight groan as he realized that he would be starting from scratch with the replicator, as no two of them ever made tea the same way. He used the PADD to transmit a message to Lt. Cmdr. O'Donnell advising that he was on the station ahead of schedule and started for the turbolift.

As he walked, he made a note of all the facilities he was seeing. The Main Promenade seemed vibrant and bustling, and there was an incredibly diverse array of cultures and facilities in every direction he looked. It seemed that his wife's fears about this posting being in the middle of nowhere were more than a little unfounded, and he hoped he could convince her to come out and join him once he got settled in.
