| Personal History | Emmett was born on Wednesday, May 7th, 2358; to the Colonel Geoffrey Allen and Bexxa Xann Kellan. Emmett was raised on the Lunar Colony for the first six years of his life by his mother, the oldest of 4 children he was often responsible for the younger Kellans. In 2361 Starfleet began a radical change of policy and began to have families join their service members on their duty assignments after which he was raised on board several starships during most of his formative years. Emmett was a good student and was often surrounded by other children, occasionally the ringleader of the group. Emmett got the reputation of being quite the practical joker and mischief maker in his youth a trait that would surface even occasionally in his adult life. He was gifted even as a youngster with the gift of empathy as possessed by the Betazoids. He also developed a deep seeded interest in the sciences, it was this passion that lead him to follow a course of study as a scientist and fed his desire to learn and explore. Emmett was accepted and attended Starfleet Academy and selected a course of study that would lead him down a 6 year science track to become a Phd. It was while at the academy that he meet, because of a mutual friend, his fiancé Liz. Liz was attending local university to become a teacher. They were not obvious lovers at all in fact they fought like crazy and could never agree on anything. It was during Emmett's forth year at the academy that Liz figured out all there tension was romantic and they began a courtship. They kept an apartment together while Emmett Finished the final two years at the academy and Liz began student teaching. After Graduating from Starfleet Academy, Ensign Emmett Kellan was assigned to the USS Melbourn as a junior science officer for four years. Due to a bit of kismet the Melbourn was in need of a Teacher and Liz also made the move to the Melbourn where the couple continued there relationship culminating in their engagement. After his internship, Emmett began his career as a recently promoted Lieutenant JG. aboard the Galaxy Class, USS Armistice. Emmett was now an associate science officer and Liz moved with her fiancé to the new assignment. It was during the end of this assignment that the couple learned they were expecting their first child and shortly there after married. Emmett then served on the Starbase Typhon as Chief Science Officer. It was during this time that during a medical emergency that the USS Mercutio docked at Starbase Typhon carring an injured symbiont and Emmett was joined to the Arjax Symbiont being the only available "Trill" Hybrid available. Emmett has recently been assigned to Starbase 80 as Chief Science Officer, he has accepted this assignment and is now approaching this new assignment with excitement with has family at his side. |
